1. Check Your Breakers
Some air conditioners have been installed with a dedicated circuit – so it might just be a breaker! See if you can find the breaker that is assigned to your air conditioner and make sure it’s active. If the breaker trips immediately after activating the air conditioner, do not try it again! That can be a sign of failure within the system or an electrical failure within your home. 2. Check Your Thermostat
Make sure that your thermostat is working properly first! Some thermostats use battery power to run the air conditioning system and if the thermostat was seldom used in the Winter months, they may have lost charge.
